Hello
Welcome to Solacium Therapy, where we aim to foster genuine connection and growth. I’m a dedicated psychologist with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a master’s in Clinical Psychology from two British universities. My approach is strongly influenced by the Person-Centred model, which is rooted in Carl Rogers’ philosophy that each individual’s unique experience should be at the center of therapy. I strive to create a supportive atmosphere that encourages true self-discovery and healing by emphasising empathy, unconditional positive regard, and authenticity.
My Story
From the beginning of my career, I’ve sought out opportunities to deepen my understanding of mental health by working in various global settings. I spent two months in South Africa under the guidance of a substance abuse counselor, leading group sessions and supporting individuals dealing with homelessness, addiction, depression, and violent behaviors—many were ex-convicts seeking a path forward. I continued my volunteer work in Sri Lanka and Indonesia (one month each), assisting clients in psychiatric wards, supporting individuals with learning difficulties such as autism and Down syndrome, and working with children needing care and emotional support.

Upon returning to London, I worked for six months at a 24-hour supervised housing project. This environment served individuals living with complex mental health disorders—depression, schizophrenia, and other severe challenges—often arriving straight from psychiatric wards. My role involved offering psychoeducation, compassionate guidance, and practical support, all aimed at helping them transition more smoothly back into society.

In addition to these experiences, my professional development has increasingly focused on the Person-Centred approach. I completed a brief course at Oxford University that expanded my skills in Person-Centred therapy and another course centered on group coaching. I am enrolled in a professional development program at ACP-France, recognised by the European Association of Psychotherapy (EAP), to refine my Person-Centred skill set further. I wholeheartedly agree with Carl Rogers’ belief that therapy should empower the client to direct their healing process, anchored by the therapist’s genuine empathy and nonjudgmental support.

This emphasis on the client’s inner world underpins everything I do at Solacium Therapy. Whether through individual sessions, group work, or psychoeducation, my ultimate goal is to create a safe, nurturing space where you feel seen, heard, and respected. By integrating diverse international experiences, an academic foundation in clinical psychology, and a steadfast commitment to Person-Centred principles, I aim to help each person uncover their inherent strengths and move toward lasting well-being.
